In Arles, there are Roman ruins throughout the city. We spent an interesting day in the city and the antiquities museum. They museum also has a barge that was mostly intact and had some of its cargo intact. At the mostly intact Roman arena, they stage gladiatorial contests. Unfortunately for me, the explanation was in French so I understood little of it. Vincent Van Gogh also spent time painting in Arles.
